On Joanna's Birthday about 20 young people invaded our home. We celebrated the life God gave our daughter 14 years ago. Looking at her now, what a beautiful young lady she's become, we think: "What could have we missed if we left her in the institution, as the doctors recommended to us?" Not that we ever had a doubt about whether we should keep her or leave her, but it's wonderful to see the rewards of our radical decision (for those not leaving in Bulgaria: our decision was radical because most parents choose to leave children born with Down's Syndrome in orphanages).
Thank you LORD for our daughter - she is such a precious gift!
